What are the features of Falken Pro G5 CSV?
When it comes to features, the Pro G5 CSV isn't lacking in any department.They may not be state of the art, based on previous dealings with Falken I think they will work.
Pro G5 CSV esall season tire, which means that the rubber compound is not like that of a typical summer tire. Instead, it's enhanced with silica to keep it soft in cooler temperatures and to ensure performance in non-summer conditions. As a high-performance tire, handling is key, so Falken paid attention to this as well. The stiffer blocks in the center work together with the wider blocks in the shoulders to give the tire a more dynamic feel. The result should be a tire that is more responsive in corners, as well as greater stability at straight line speeds.
How does it behave on a dry surface?
In dry conditions, the Pro G5 CSV delivers on its promise and delivers great performance.
Accelerating on the tire won't be a problem as it has plenty of grip to get the car moving. Even with the most powerful Pro G5 CSV cars there is no problem, which is high praise for a mid-range tire. Lateral grip is also phenomenal and you can take hard corners without worrying about the tire coming loose. Once he starts doing this, the sensation is progressive and you have plenty of time to react.
Speaking of feel, the Pro G5 CSV provides decent feedback through the handlebars. It can be a bit muted at times, but overall it's great. Responsiveness is also excellent and the tire can change direction very quickly.
In addition, the tire is very safe when it comes to braking distance. They're not the shortest in the class, but they're among the best.
How does it behave on wet and slippery surfaces?
Unfortunately, the Pro G5 CSV's performance in the wet isn't nearly as impressive as it is in the dry.
The tire is still very serviceable and you can push it a bit, but it won't have as much grip as you would like. Being a little pushy can result in slipping up, so you need to set your expectations accordingly. The same can be said for grip levels; they are acceptably good, but far from what the premium options can offer. Results in the braking department are slightly above average, but not particularly impressive.
The resistance to aquaplaning is better and this is an area that performs better in the wet than the rest. Although it doesn't match the premium models, it is better than most tires in its class.
How is the snow there?
Snow performance is average and not something the Pro G5 CSV is great at. To be honest, all-season tires don't do well in snow, so it's not something this tire is particularly bad at.
Performance is decent if the roads are clear and the tire doesn't cause too much trouble. In light snow, performance drops, but the tire is still quite usable. If the situation becomes more difficult, the tire will have problems, in which case the solution is a specific winter tire.
Is it comfortable and refined?
Despite being performance-oriented, the Pro G5 CSV has some touring-like features that some people might like.
On the comfort side of things, even if it won't be as comfortable as something like this.Continental CrossContact LX25, the experience is not terrible. The tire can smooth out most road imperfections and will absorb most of the vibration. It's not the most pleasant experience, but it's far from the worst.
The noise level is acceptable, but the tire is not the quietest option on the market. It is very quiet at lower speeds and the noise level increases at higher speeds or on rougher surfaces.
Is it suitable for offroad driving?
Off-road driving on road tires is not an experience I would recommend. The Pro G5 CSV is not made for such conditions and performance and longevity will be significantly compromised.
Having said that, driving on dirt roads is doable as long as you are aware of the limitations. Grip and traction levels won't be as good as an all-terrain tire, but it's not impossible. Keep in mind that sharper stones can damage the tread and cause uneven wear.
Is the Falken Pro G5 CSV perfect for sports driving?
It's not bad and it's not the best. The Pro G5 CSV falls somewhere in the middle, which means I have mixed feelings about it.
In the dry, the tire shines with its level of grip and handling. You can throw it in the corner and play with it. It is controllable and very easy to find the limits. In wet conditions the performance is not that great so I would advise not to push too hard.

Warranty is one area of the Pro G5 CSV that is positive. Falken offers a tire with a 60,000-mile treadwear guarantee, which is pretty good considering its performance-oriented model. Compared to other mid-range tires, this one ranks at the top even when added to the touring tire scale.

I can recommend a tire with excellent dry performance, which means that, on that basis, the Pro G5 CSV should be an excellent choice. Combined with its sporty handling characteristics, the tire lives up to Falken's promises. Things get worse in wet and snowy conditions. The tire is still quite usable, but the performance level drops and you don't have a tire that's as capable as it is on dry roads.
For a performance tire, the Pro G5 CSV seems to be doing well in the refinement department. Comfort levels are decently good and noise isn't unpleasant, making it an acceptable option when you don't need performance. This is not a touring tire replacement, but it will pass.
Warranty and price are other combinations in favor of the Pro G5 CSV. The affordable price combined with a tread guarantee makes you buy a tire that will last several years and won't strain your wallet.
All in all, if performance isn't your top priority and you need an affordable tire that can handle most requirements, the Pro G5 CSV is a great option. With that being said, you should keep your expectations realistic as this is not a UHP tire replacement.
